Jerry C

Hello my name is...

Jerry.  I am a fifteen year old boy at Don Mills Collegiate Institute. Well I'm not all too interesting, but I'm supposed to be "honest". So let's begin. Honestly, I don't like this culminating activity mainly because I don't like writing articles about school. Honestly, I'm not that fond of my group at the moment, the lovely people down there,  because they decided to centralize this "newspaper" assignment on the Don Mills community. Now you may be wondering about me. I like to read and do crosswords. I also like trivia and stuff like that. I would say that I am quite involved in extracurriculars, although they are currently on hiatus because of the problems that go on in the adult world that I can't understand because of my age, obviously. I have contributed to the Don Mills Echo with a plagiarized article on plagiarism, an editorial on popularity, and a quiz (only out of laziness). And out of honesty, I must confess that the man on the left is not me.

Connie Yu

How are YU doing today?

I just couldn't help myself. Too many jokes can be made with my YU-nique last name.

Hi there, I'm Connie Yu and yes sir, I'm a fabulous cat with a fabulous bow tie. I'm so excited to be an editor of this e-newspaper. In many aspects, I'm just like most teenagers. I have an undying obsession of food, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and cats.

Although some of my teammates are openly unsatisfied with our newspaper(^), I try to make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone.

I will be writing about Chris Spence and take on the role of a mini food critic. Also, my photography works will also be featured in the "Entertainment" section.

Thanks for taking the time to read about me, and I hope that you will enjoy your visit to our site and spread the word about this wonderfully, well-organized student-body -run-eco-friendly e-newspaper! :)

Eric Wu

My name is Eric Wu and I am one of the editors of The Don Mills Echo. Now before you think of me as some 8 year old boy who plays on the Nintendo DS all day, I have to point out I am camera-shy and therefore lack a lot of recent pictures.

I am typically what people call a "boring" person. At school, I tend to keep to myself. After school, I like to surf the web. I used to spend all my time gaming, but because my laptop broke, gaming is no longer an option. Nowadays, I tend to listen to music most of the time. Like Taylor Swift said, "People haven't always been there for me but music always has."

For this edition of The Don Mills Echo, I have contributed an editorial as well as an editorial cartoon on Bill 115. Please do not judge me on my art skills. I have also created this seemingly easy sudoku. Try it out, you may find a passion for it (like Jerry and Daniel).

Hi Everyone!

Daniel Li

I'm Daniel, but you should already know that.  That little bit of writing above that picture isn't just for show. The picture? Not too relevant. But if you want, you can spend a day or six analysing it in an attempt to figure out its identity.

I'm a fan of birds. No need to get more in depth than that.

Since this newspaper is based on the Don Mills Community, there isn't a whole lot to write about. Writing a serious article is a bit hard when there isn't anything you're particularly interested in, so my work mostly consists of semi-humorous articles on some rather unconnected (some may call them inane) subjects.

I always thought horoscopes were a bit flaky, in terms of actual content. I tried my hand at them, and they didn't work out much better. Turns horoscopes only sound like horoscopes if they make you think they're telling you something without actually saying anything.

They only come true because they're so vague anyway.

Hey.

Amelia Song

My name is Amelia Song and I feel great to be one of the editors of the Don Mills Echo.

I love yo-yoing, playing piano, and hanging out with friends. I'm also a bit of an otaku.

So Daniel recently got me addicted to an online card game called "Elements" and I couldn't resist putting in the Mark of Time permanent in my picture.

Anyways, hope you enjoy!
